ESTA strives to provide policymakers and authorities with useful information and expert opinions to help develop effective legislation.

As the voice of companies manufacturing, distributing, and selling fine-cut tobacco, pipe tobacco, traditional European nasal snuff, and chewing tobacco, ESTA advocates transparency and openness and has been registered in the EU Transparency Register since 2008.

ESTA believes that differentiation in tobacco policy and legislation is necessary to reflect companies of all sizes active in the tobacco trade and the wide range of tobacco products manufactured in Europe, including the niche and traditional tobacco products of ESTA’s member companies.
